WORKSHOP The Wearable Wrapover: Hacking a Shawl You'll Actually Wear
Sun, Oct 04
|XOXO Fibre at The Pipe Shop Venue
Turn a shawl you never wear into one you actually reach for. Nicole of Knicoleknits walks through the wrapover hack: a modification that adds structure to a standard shawl so it stays on your shoulders without a pin. Works on finished shawls and works in progress.

About the Event
The wrapover hack takes a shawl you already know how to knit and gives it the structure to stay where you put it. No shawl pin, no readjusting every four minutes, no admitting defeat at lunch and folding it over the back of a chair.
This session covers where the modification goes, how to work out the placement for your own shoulders and your own shawl, and how to apply it both to finished shawls sitting in a drawer and to ones still on the needles. Nicole walks through the mechanics of why the hack works, so it can be adapted to most triangular and crescent shapes — including the one you swore you'd wear more.
Every attendee leaves with a full instructional handout to work from at home. Bring a notebook if you like taking notes.
