Ponnie is a mom of two, wife and a life time entrepreneur. She moved to Canada at the age of 9 and has called the North Shore home ever since.  From walking the Spirit Trail to crossing the Suspension Bridge, Ponnie feels fortunate to call this beautiful city home.

She is a women of many skills and wears many hats. Up until her daughter was born she was the proud owner of 2 gyms and taught knitting on the side. With over 30 years of knitting experience, Ponnies work can be seen on various TV and Film productions. She designs and publishes patterns and offers both one-on-one and group classes. Her passion for the arts reaches far past knitting and expands in various directions including woodwork, drawing, painting, Henna body art, dyeing and many more.

Ponnie holds numerous fitness certifications including BCRPA Fitness Leader, Kangatrainer, Certified Strength Trainer, Zumba Instructor with 8 specialties, and Strong by Zumba. In 2019 Ponnie became the Country Leader for Canada and the USA for Kangatraining and is their North American Master Trainer.

Having been exposed to Babywearing through her sister, Ponnie had to try it with the birth of her daughter first hand. The benefits of wearing where so evident that she since has gone on to become a Certified Babywearing Educator and Consultant with the Center for Babywearing Studies. Ponnie also holds a certificate from Go Diaper Free in both Elimination Communication and Potty Training. Her many business ventures have given her the experience to help others succeed in their enterprises as a business coach.

Though she enjoys the serenity in moving and creating on her own, her passion to help others makes her a natural born teacher. She does not believe in the phrase "I can't" and often you will hear her say "You can, you just need to learn how"

In her free time, Ponnie likes to give back to the community. She is involved in different charity and outreach programs and is the founder of #warmvancouver.
